AI Interview Transcripts and Summaries Lite automatically captures full interview conversations and generates concise, actionable summaries, so recruiters and hiring managers can stay focused on the candidate instead of taking notes. This saves time, speeds up feedback, and helps teams make better, faster hiring decisions.
NOTE: This is only available for video calls (Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet), not phone calls.
AI Interview Transcripts and Summaries Lite is available for free (on an account level), with limited usage. You will also have an option to upgrade to AI Interview Transcripts and Summaries Unlimited for an additional cost. See this article for guidance on the Unlimited version.
Your average completed interviews per month calculation will include all individual interview events. For panel interviews, each interview is counted as one event. Example: One panel interview with three interviews (9 am, 9:30 am, 10 am) would be counted as three interview events.
Enabling AI Interview Transcripts and Summaries Lite
In Admin settings > AI features > Interview Companion, there are options to Only enable for newly created jobs, Enable for All Jobs, or Disable for All Jobs.
Using AI Interview Transcripts and Summaries Lite
When scheduling an interview, the recruiter can record using Teams or Zoom.
For ALL scheduled interviews, the scheduling email sent to the candidate will include disclaimer language. This disclaimer statement is not editable. This email also offers a direct link for the candidate to opt out of being recorded during the interview.
After a candidate receives the email and selects please click here, they will be taken to the You've Chosen to Opt Out of AI Recording page and informed that they will not be recorded during their interview.
This will automatically be reflected in the candidate's profile.
| NOTE: If an interview is scheduled via Easy Book, the consent language will be added to the confirmation screen after the candidate selects an interview slot. |
If a candidate indicates they don't want the interview recorded, the interviewer will need to disable the recording in Lever manually.
Checking the candidate profile is the ONLY way to verify whether the candidate has consented to AI recording the interview. The interviewer will NOT receive a notification indicating whether a candidate has consented to AI recording the interview.

If a candidate contacts the interviewer to change their consent selection, the interviewer can manually update the consent on the candidate's profile by clicking Edit next to the consent statement.
The full interview transcript and a summary will be populated in the Feedback tab of the applicant's profile.

The interview transcript and summary are not generated on an applicant profile when the 'No feedback' option is selected during interview scheduling. However, the interview transcript and summary are still generated on the interviewer's list of interviews on the 'Interview' tab. |

Navigate to the candidate's profile and select the Feedback tab.
Hover to the right of the interview feedback that you want to view the transcript for > click the menu icon> click VIEW TRANSCRIPT.
The transcript will be displayed.
