Hallo is an AI-powered language assessment platform that evaluates the proficiency levels of your applicants according to CEFR standards. The Hallo integration allows your team to easily invite candidates to take language assessments where they speak and respond to open-response questions based on real scenarios. Hallo integrates seamlessly into your existing Lever workflow without disruption, enabling immediate evaluation of language proficiency. A summary of the assessment results, including a link back to the Hallo detailed report, are added as a feedback form on the Lever candidate opportunity. Setting up the Hallo integration

Enable Webhook in Lever
- In Lever, navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks
- On the Webhook configuration page, enable the Candidate Stage Change webhook. This will allow you to complete the integration from the Hallo side.
Enable the integration in Hallo
- Email support@hallo.ai to request the Hallo dashboard credentials.
- In Hallo, navigate to the to the API section (dashboard.hallo.ai/development)
- Click the Integration Partners tab
- Click the Connect button next to the Connect to Lever section.
- When prompted, log in to Lever using your admin credentials.
- Review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to authorize the integration.

Configure Assessment in Hallo
Once the Hallo integration is authorized for your organization, you will be able to add the Hallo assessment as an interview stage.
- In Hallo, navigate to the API section (dashboard.hallo.ai/development)
- Click the Integration Partners tab
- Under the Lever Integration Settings section, complete the following assessment configuration:
- Select the desired Job Posting
- Select the desired Lever trigger stage (candidates will be invited to take the assessment once they are moved to this stage in Lever)
- Assign the Hallo Assessment you would like to send to the candidate
- Click Add Assessment Rule to save the integration settings

How the Hallo integration works in Lever
Once an applicant associated with a specified posting reaches the configured trigger stage, they will be invited to complete the configured Hallo assessment.
After the candidate completes the Assessment, the candidate opportunity in Lever will be updated with feedback containing an overview of their results.
The feedback will also include a URL to the Hallo dashboard containing a more detailed report.
On this page, you will be able to view overall language scores for the candidate, as well as sub-scores, question specifics (including the questions themselves and the candidate’s answers), detailed improvements, and snapshots of the candidate while taking the test (to assist in cheating prevention).

Disabling the Hallo integration
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the Hallo app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
