The SlateAI integration with Lever automates candidate summaries, and offers deeper insights with tools like the Applicant Assistant and Job Assistant (if enabled). This integration is designed to help recruiting teams save time by delivering candidate evaluations directly within Lever, making screening and hiring more efficient. Setting up the SlateAI integration

You must be a team or organization with admin rights in SlateAI to install this integration. |
To start using SlateAI, your team should reach out to SlateAI at sales@slatehire.com to schedule an introductory call. During this call, a SlateAI team member will provide a demo of the platform, showcasing its features. After the demo, the team member will provision an account tailored to your needs, which may include:
- Summaries only
- Summaries + Applicant Assistants
- Summaries + Job Assistants
- Summaries + Applicant Assistants + Job Assistants
Once your account is set up, an admin user from your team will complete the following steps to enable the integration:
- In SlateAI, connect the Lever integration
- On the modal, log in to Lever using your admin account.
- On the following prompt, review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to authorize the integration.
Configuring the SlateAI integration
Enable Webhooks
The SlateAI integration will automatically configure the Application Created and Candidate Deleted webhooks on your Lever account.
To ensure that the webhooks are enabled, in Lever, navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks and manually toggle the webhooks to the on position if they have not already been enabled.
Using the SlateAI integration
After authorization, SlateAI will automatically begin generating applicant summaries for each new candidate received in Lever. These summaries are posted as notes within each candidate’s profile, providing insights on skills, qualifications, and job fit. This streamlines candidate comparison and helps your team make informed decisions more quickly.

Each application will have a note attached like below. The note will have a link back to SlateAI, as well as the full candidate summary.
Applicant Tags
Each applicant will have a tag attached to them based on their score.
Disabling the SlateAI integration
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the SlateAI app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
