The ChattyHiring integration with Lever allows talent teams to automate AI-powered interviews. Applicant evaluations are automatically updated to the Lever opportunity. For more information refer to the ChattyHiring website.
Setting up the ChattyHiring integration

- In ChattyHiring, navigate to the Integration settings page and click Lever.
- Click Login with Lever
- On the modal, log in to Lever using your admin credentials.
- On the following prompt, review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to authorize the integration.
Configuring the ChattyHiring integration
Enable Webhooks
- Once the integration is authorized, the integration will automatically create the following webhooks in Lever:
- Application Created
- Candidate Stage Change
- Candidate Deleted
- In Lever, navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks and toggle the above-listed webhooks to the on position, if they have not already been enabled.
Configure Trigger State in ChattyHiring
- In ChattyHiring, select a Lever trigger stage.
- ChattyHiring will send an interview email or WhatsApp invitation to the candidates once the candidate has been moved to that stage in Lever.
- Pick a default assessment kit or leave blank for AI generated jobs based on the job description.
- Click the Update Lever button to apply settings.
Using the ChattyHiring integration
Send interviews from Lever and receive results
To initiate the ChattyHiring interview process, move the candidate opportunity in Lever to the designated trigger stage (e.g. ChattyHiring).
The candidate opportunity should have the following details to successfully process through the integration:
- Associate Job posting
After the interview is completed you will see a new tag next to the candidate on the Candidates dashboard in Lever. The completed interviews will be tagged with 1 of 4 tags ranging from ‘Strong no’ to ‘Strong Yes’:
Candidate results will be added as a note on the Lever opportunity.
Results will include ratings, durations, status, questions and answers to the interview, an evaluation summary and a link to the full ChattyHiring report and pdf.
To view the results in ChattyHiring, click on the "interview url" link.
Personalizing the ChattyHiring Experience
Customize your experience in the ChattyHiring platform:
- Create/Edit New Templates: Tailor AI Interview templates to ensure relevant questions for your openings.
- Adjust the Presentation Email: Customize the email wording to reflect your company’s values.
- Adjust the Email Domain: Choose the email account for sending emails.
- Adjust the Branding: Select appropriate colors and logos for the AI interview interface.

Disabling the ChattyHiring integration
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the ChattyHiring app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
