Enabling and using the Canditech integration

The Canditech integration allows talent acquisition teams to seamlessly invite candidates to take Canditech assessments from within Lever. A results link is added to the Lever candidate opportunity.


Setting up the Canditech integration

 

You must be a team or organization with admin rights in Canditech to install this integration.
  • In Canditech, navigate to Canditech Platform > Settings > Integrations
  • Open the Lever dropdown and click Connect

  • Review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to establish the connection between Canditech and Lever

Configuring the Canditech integration

Enable webhooks

  • In Lever, navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks
  • Scroll to the Candidate Stage Change webhook
  • Toggle the webhook to the on (blue) position to enable if it is not already enabled

  • Click + Add webhook
  • Open the dropdown arrow on the right side and click Verify Connection

  • Wait until you receive the confirmation that the connection has been verified

Add Canditech stage to Lever pipeline

  • In Lever, navigate to Settings > Pipeline and archive reasons
  • Click Customize Pipeline Stages in the top right corner

  • Click Add Stage

  • Type in "Canditech Stage" in the 'Name' field
  • Move the 'Stage used for interviews' toggle to the on position
  • Click Add Stage

  • The 'Canditech Stage' will appear among the other stages in your pipeline; move the stage to the desired position in your pipeline (if applicable)
  • Click Next

  • Review your changes and then click Save

  • You will be redirected back to the Pipeline and archive reasons settings page

Attach Canditech assessment to pipeline stage

  • In Canditech, navigate back to Platform > Settings > Integrations
  • Open the Lever dropdown
  • Click Attach Assessment to Stage

  • Select the required position from the dropdown menu (e.g. "Python Developer")
  • Click Next

  • Select the assessment you would like to add from the dropdown menu; click Next

Your assessment has successfully been attached to your Lever pipeline stage.

Using the Canditech integration

Send assessments to candidates

  • In Lever, navigate to the Candidates section and click + Add Candidate and select the option to manually add a new candidate (alternatively, you may choose to open an existing candidate opportunity)

  • Enter the candidate's name and email in the fields provided

  • Click the Choose Job button and select the relevant job from the dropdown menu

  • Once your test is set, navigate to the stage dropdown.
  • Move the candidate's opporutnity to the 'Canditech Stage'; the Canditech assessment will be sent to the candidate

  • Return to the Canditech platform
  • Navigate to the 'Candidates' tab; here you will see the assessment invite sent to your new candidate

Reviewing candidates and making decisions

  • Once your candidate submits their test, their status in the Canditech platform will change to "Completed".

  • Navigate back to the Candidates page in Lever
  • Open the candidate's opportunity profile and navigate to the 'Notes' section

  • Once the candidate has submitted their assessment, their opportunity profile in Lever will contain a link to view the submitted assessment on Canditech, along with their assessment score

  • Navigate to the candidate's assessment session in the Canditech platform to give the candidate's test session a thumbs up or thumbs down decision

  • The decision (Verdict) will be updated in Lever

Disabling the Canditech integration

  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Authorized Apps
  • Locate the Canditech app
  • Click Revoke Access
