Enabling and using the Chatkick integration

This article will cover how to enable and use the Lever and Chatkick integration. The integration will allow you to:

  • Schedule interviews for your team with existing Lever opportunities.
  • Structure and utilize Chatkick interview playbooks for existing Lever job postings and opportunities.
  • Review Chatkick interview feedback for opportunities in Lever and link to the corresponding interview recordings in Chatkick.
  • View opportunities from your Lever pipeline inside Chatkick.

Setup the integration:

Note: Access role must be Super Admin in order to set up the integration.

1. Log into the Chatkick platform.

2. From the navigation sidebar, select the Integrations icon

3. Once inside the Integrations page, find the Lever Integration from the list and click on “Connection”

4. Follow the steps to sign in to Lever and verify Chatkick is allowed to use the requested permissions by clicking “Accept” in the prompt.

5. Once redirected back to Chatkick you will need to map Lever pipeline stages to Chatkick pipeline stages.

As best practice, the standard Lever stages should be mapped as follows:

Note: mapping Lever stages to Chatkick stages is only for organizing opportunities in Chatkick and will not impact opportunities in Lever.

6. Click “Save Integration” to complete the setup.

How to use the integration:

Scheduling an interview

  1. Inside Chatkick, on the Schedules page, select “Schedule a Call” and choose to either “Schedule Now” or “Send Invite”
  2. After populating the interview duration and team member who will run the interview, you will be able to find Lever opportunities in the Application search box.
    1. Note: If your Lever opportunity does not contain email address or phone number, you will be required to provide both before proceeding forward.
  3. Click “Send Invitation” or “Schedule” 

Build an interview playbook

  1. From the Positions list in Chatkick, select the job description you wish to edit by clicking on the pencil icon.
  2. Once inside the Position, navigate to the “Questions” tab on the right hand side to add interview questions. All interviews run on Chatkick for this job description will prompt you to ask the questions you outline here.

How to disable the integration:

1. Navigate to your Integrations & API Settings Page in Lever

2. Under the Authorized Apps tab locate the Chatkick app

3. Click Revoke Access to disable the integration
