Enabling and using the HireHunch integration

Setting up the HireHunch integration

• Begin by logging in to your account on the HireHunch portal
• Navigate to the Integrations page by clicking on the profile icon on the top right corner

• Locate the Lever card on the integrations page and click Configure.

• On the modal, log in to Lever using your Admin credentials
• On the following screen, review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to authorize the integration

Configure Webhooks

After accepting permissions, the next step is to configure the webhooks.

• In HireHunch, copy the webhook url under ‘CANDIDATE STAGE CHANGE’
• Click on the Lever webhook page link outside of the dialog box to be redirected to the Lever’s webhooks page (in Lever, you can access this page by navigating to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks).
• Locate the 'CANDIDATE STAGE CHANGE' webhook
• Click + Add Webhook to add a new webhook
• Paste the webhook url to the webhook field in Lever and enable the 'CANDIDATE STAGE CHANGE' webhook by toggling the webhook toggle to the green (on position), if it is not already enabled. 

• Create a new 'INTERVIEW UPDATED' webhook in Lever by clicking + Add webhook under the 'INTERVIEW UPDATED' webhook
• In HireHunch, copy the HireHunch webhook url for 'INTERVIEW UPDATED' and paste it into the webhook url field for the 'INTERVIEW UPDATED' webhook in Lever. 

Once the webhooks are configured, the Lever <> HireHunch integration will be complete.

Enabling HunchAssess, the skill assessment platform from HireHunch

Set up the ‘HunchAssess' custom interview stage in Lever

• In Lever, add a stage to your pipeline titled "HunchAssess". Make sure to add this stage as a non-interview stage.
• For instructions on how to do this, refer to the help article on adding pipeline stages. The name of the stage must be “HunchAssess” in order for the integration to work.

Assign the HunchAssess Assessment tags to the Lever Job Postings

• To retrieve the relevant assessment ID in HireHunch, click on the HunchAssess (Assessment) tab. 
• Copy the assessment ID by hovering over the relevant assessment name.

• Open the associated job posting in Lever.
• Paste the HireHunch assessment ID as a tag on the Job Posting in Lever.
• Click Save Changes

• Candidates will automatically get assigned this assessment tag in Lever. 
• When candidates are moved to the HunchAssess stage in Lever, HireHunch will invite the candidate to the assigned skill assessment as tagged in Lever.

Set up the ‘HunchVue Interview' custom interview stage in Lever

• In Lever, add a stage to your pipeline titled "HunchVue Interview". Make sure to add this stage as an interview stage.
• For instructions on how to do this, refer to Lever's help article on adding pipeline stages. The name of the stage must be  “HunchVue Interview” in order for the integration to work.

Enabling HunchServe, the expert panel of interviewers from HireHunch

Set up the ‘HunchServe Interview' custom interview stage in Lever

• In Lever, add a stage to your pipeline titled "HunchServe Interview". Make sure to add this stage as a non-interview stage.
• For instructions on how to do this, refer to the help article on adding pipeline stages. The name of the stage must be  “HunchServe Interview” in order for the integration to work.

Assign the HunchServe: <Job_ID> tag to the relevant job postings

• To retrieve the relevant Job ID in HireHunch, go to the Job Posting screen from the left menu on the HireHunch portal.
• Click on the Job Posting you want HireHunch’s expert interviewer to conduct the initial tech round. Make sure the feedback form is filled for this Job post.

• Copy the Job ID
• Open the associated job posting in Lever.
• Paste the HireHunch Job ID as a tag on the Job Posting in Lever.
• Click Save Changes

• The HireHunch Job ID tag will automatically populate on the associated candidate opportunities in Lever. 
• HireHunch will invite your candidate to schedule the interview with HireHunch's expert panel for the associated job.  

Using the HireHunch integration

Invite candidates to HunchAssess

• In Lever, assign the candidate to a HunchAssess associated Job (the job posting must contain the HunchAssess Tag).
• Move the candidate to the HunchAssess stage (trigger stage) in Lever. 
• The candidate will be automatically registered in HunchAssess and receive an Assessment Invitation email.
• The candidate opportunity will also show a tag ‘HunchAssess Invited’ and a note as a confirmation (see below).

• Once the candidate completes the assessment, a tag ‘HunchAssess Attempted’ will be added and results will be updated on the candidate application.

Scheduling tech interview on HunchVue

• Move the candidate to the HunchVue Interview stage (trigger stage)
• The candidate opportunity will show a tag ‘HunchVue Interview Link Created’ along with a note with HunchVue interview link and instructions to join the interview.

• Copy the HunchVue Interview link and the instructions from the opportunity in Lever
• Click Schedule
• Paste the link and instructions to the body of the email
• Add the interviewer’s email address and schedule for the interview.
  • Make sure that the schedule date and time is not prior to the current date and time.

• The integration will add the tag ‘HunchVue Interview Scheduled’ and a note to the candidate opportunity in Lever.

• Once the interview is conducted successfully, the integration will update the Lever opportunity notes with the interviewer feedback and the interview playback link. The tag ‘HunchVue Interview Conducted’ will also be added to the opportunity.

Scheduling tech interview with HireHunch’s interviewers

• Move the candidate to the HunchServe Interview Stage (trigger stage)

• As soon as the candidate's opportunity is moved into the HunchServe stage, an invite will be sent to the candidate to schedule the interview with HireHunch’s expert interviewer.
• The integration will also update the the Lever opportunity with the tag ‘HunchServe Interview Scheduling Link Sent’ and a note will be added to signify the same.
• The recruiter can still add the preferred interview slots by accessing the HireHunch platform anytime.

• The candidate will be required to add the preferred interview slots within 30 hours of the request sent.
• Once HireHunch receives the candidate’s preferred interview slot, the integration will update with the Lever opportunity with a tag ‘Preferred Slots Added’ and a note will be added to signify the same.
• The tech interview with HireHunch’s expert interviewer will get scheduled. The candidate opportunity will be updated with a tag ‘HunchServe Interview Scheduled’ and a note.

• Once the interview is completed for any candidate, the tag ‘HunchServe Interview Conducted’ and a note containing a link to the candidate’s feedback report will be pushed to the candidate’s opportunity in Lever.

Disabling the HireHunch integration

1. In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
2. Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the HireHunch app
3. Click Revoke access to disable the integration
