Setting up the Wintrgrden integration
Note: Access role must be Super Admin in Lever in order to set up the integration.
- Log into your Wintrgarden account and navigate to Administration > Integrations.
- In the 'Lever integration' section, click Enable.
- Authorize the Wintrgarden app by accepting the required permissions.
- After authorizing the application, you will be redirected to the Lever Integration page in Wintrgarden with a success message. You are now ready to start configuring the integration.
Configuring the Wintrgarden integration
- Click Auto setup webhooks to configure the 'Candidate hired' and 'Candidate archive state change' webhooks.
- The 'Candidate archive state change' import needs a few additional settings.

- Select the archive reasons that will trigger a candidate import in Wintrgarden.
- Select the job subscriptions that will be offered to candidates following the import. If you don’t have any job subscriptions that you wish to include in the integration set up yet, save your Lever integration settings and follow the instructions below.
- In Wintrgarden, navigate to Content management > Job subscriptions and click on the Add subscription campaign button.
- Give the subscription a representative name and select 'Lever' from the ‘Source’ dropdown.
- There are a few more options:
- Self-registration process that will determine the communication preferences the candidates will be offered.
- Automatic email template set that will determine what email templates will be used.
- Whether to match internal (Internal and Internal/External) or external (External and Internal/External) opportunities from Lever
- Signup page which will determine which of your Wintrgarden CMP content pages your candidates will use in order to sign up for, update, or cancel their job subscriptions.
- Career site template url which determines the base URL to which the Lever opportunity ID is combined to define the complete URL of your jobs ads. This must be a valid URL with {id} as a placeholder for the Lever opportunity ID.
- Once you’ve finished creating your job subscriptions, go back to Administration > Integrations and click on the View & edit button of the Lever integration. Add your newly created job subscriptions to the integration configuration and save your progress.
- Finally, your webhook categories must be activated. Log in to Lever and navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks and activate the webhook categories:

Using the Wintrgarden integration
This integration doesn’t affect any functionality in Lever except setting up the webhooks.
Importing archived candidates from Lever to Wintrgarden
Archived candidates will be added to Wintrgarden if the archive reason matches one of those configured in the integration settings. Such candidates’ names and email addresses will be imported, and they will receive an invitation to sign up for a weekly email digest including recently posted jobs matching their preferences. If they don’t accept this within 14 days of being imported, their data will be removed from Wintrgarden.
This feature is triggered by the candidate archive state change webhook.
Removing hired candidates from Wintrgarden
Hired candidates will be removed from Wintrgarden if marked as Hired in Lever and their origin is not ‘Internal’.
This feature is triggered by the candidate hired webhook.
Distributing jobs from Lever to candidates in Wintrgarden
Candidates in Wintrgarden can sign up to receive weekly email digests including matching job opportunities imported from Lever.
This feature is triggered by setting Lever as a ‘Source’ of a job subscription.

Disabling the Wintrgarden integration
In Wintrgarden:
- Navigate to Administration > Integrations in Wintrgarden. Select View & edit for the Lever integration.
- Click Disable Lever and confirm the operation. This will delete the webhooks in Lever and then delete all credentials in Wintrgarden.
In Lever:
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations & API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the Wintrgarden app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
