Setting up the EMP Trust integration
|
You must be a team or organization with admin rights in EMP Trust to install this integration. |

Integration Procedures
Initial Integration Procedures
- You will share your Lever API key with EMP Trust via a Secure email/encrypted mail service.
- These are used as part of the Basic Authentication method to access and invoke all the required API calls.
- EMP Trust service/API will make use of the provided API key to authenticate entry into the Lever system and start the data sync.
- Once the authentication is successful, the service can initiate the data sync procedures by invoking the required APIs.
How does the data sync work?
- A Basic Authentication method is used here before the service is invoked and data sync occurs between the EMP Trust & Lever systems.
- Lever must be set up and configured as a partner in EMP Trust.
- Apart from the API key, the client will have to provide EMP Trust with the stage_id and the date on which the data sync is supposed to start.
- If all the required data has been received, the scheduled service will initiate the data sync accordingly.
- The service will sync data once every 4 hours on a daily basis from Lever systems.
- If the authentication fails, the service will log and send the corresponding message.
Generate the Lever API Key
You will be asked to generate a Lever API Key to share with EMP Trust. Please work with EMP Trust to confirm which API permissions to include. The set of permissions will include the following (at a minimum):
- list opportunities
- list opportunity offers
- read user
- list opportunity files
- list opportunity resumes
For additional guidance on generating a Lever API Key please refer to the article Generating and using API credentials.
Configuring the EMP Trust integration
Configure the Webhook
Please work with EMP Trust for additional guidance on configuring the Candidate Hired webhook in Lever. A brief overview of the webhook configuration is provided below:
- Lever can send EMP Trust the data of their new hires at the point of hiring by making use of a webhook.
- The endpoint for the same is authenticated, and it is as follows: https://www.empforce.com/WebApi/lever/{customerCode}
- The endpoint and stage_id must be provided and configured in Lever system.
- All the details that are received from Lever through the webhook are logged first.
When the scheduled service runs, it will sync the Opportunity and Offer information of the candidate.
