ZYTHR is a tool that helps recruiters prioritize applicants and provides a contextualized analysis of why a candidate is or is not a fit for an open role. ZYTHR analyzes each applicant’s resume to the job description they applied to to come up with a match score of 1-10. ZYTHR can also analyze any field within Lever such as a recruiter note field on the job or an applicant response such as cover letter. ZYTHR’s Integration with Lever allows recruiters to review applicants efficiently, disposition unqualified candidates, and move candidates to a new stage in Lever. The actions in both Lever and ZYTHR are bidirectional so any action you take in one, will automatically update the other. For more information refer to the ZYTHR website

Setting up the ZYTHR integration

You must be a team or organization with admin rights in ZYTHR to install this integration.

ZYTHR will set up your account. You will be required to request a new password.
  • Once you are logged in, click on your initials in the top right corner and select ATS.

  • Under ATS select Lever and click Save
  • Click Start OAuth Process.

  • On the prompt, log into Lever with your Admin account.

  • On the modal, review the list of requested permissions and click Accept.

  • In ZYTHR, navigate back to your initial in the top right corner and click Organization.

  • On the Organization page, you can now add users and assign licenses.
  • Please be sure to include the same email address that is used in Lever for each of the users you are adding to ZYTHR.

Configuring the ZYTHR integration

Create an integration user

The following steps will ensure the ZYTHR integration is setup properly to run the analysis.

  • Create a ZYTHR User in Lever by navigating to Settings > Users
  • Click + Add User
  • Create a user with the following details:
    • Full Name: 'ON-BEHALF-OF-ZYTHR'
    • Email Address: zythr@YOURCOMPANYDOMAIN.com
      • Example: if your company name is “Lever”, you’d create a user account for zythr@lever.co

  • Click Next Step
  • Under Access role, select Admin

  • Click Next Step
  • Click Invite User

You are now all set up and the recruiters are ready to use ZYTHR!

Using the ZYTHR integration

After logging in to ZYTHR, navigate to the Jobs dashboard by clicking Jobs at the top of the page. The Jobs dashboard will list all the positions that you are currently assigned as a recruiter within Lever.

Click a job to see view details on the role, how many candidates are at each stage, and also sort candidates by prioritization score (highest numbers are closest matches).

By clicking on a specific candidate, you can review the ZYTHR analysis, candidate’s resumes, and other applications. You can also take action on the candidate (reject or advance).

View ZYTHR Updates in Lever

In the Candidates dashboard in Lever, you will see ZYTHR match tags added to candidate opportunities. The number corresponding to the tag is the candidate’s match to this specific job.

Within the candidate's opportunity profile, a note will be added by the integration that includes the raw data which shows up in ZYTHR’s UI as well.

The same candidate will likely score a different ranking for each job they apply to. If you’re reviewing in Lever, make sure you know which opportunity the tag applies to.

Disabling the ZYTHR integration

  1. In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
  2. Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the ZYTHR app
  3. Click Revoke access to disable the integration
