The RapidVerify integration instantly verifies candidate identities in real-time. Once a candidate reaches the designated trigger stage, the integration will verify the candidate and update the opportunity with a verification tag. For more information refer to the RapidVerify website.
Setting up the RapidVerify integration

You must be a team or organization with admin rights in RapidVerify to install this integration. |
- Log in to your RapidVerify dashboard.
- On the dashboard, click Integrations, then click Lever.
- On the modal, sign in to your Lever account.
- Review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to authorize the integration.
Requested Scopes
- View an Opportunity's contact: Provides RapidVerify the capability to view an opportunity's contact.
- Manage all webhooks: Enables RapidVerify to view and manage all webhooks associated with Lever.
- View all stages: Grants access to view all candidate stages within Lever.
- View and manage all candidates' notes: Enables RapidVerify to add verification notes.
- View and manage all opportunities: Enables RapidVerify to update the opportunity with verification tags.
- Allow offline access: Allows RapidVerify to obtain a refresh token during the token exchange.
Configuring the RapidVerify integration
Once authorized, you will be taken back to RapidVerify to complete configuration.
Here, you can choose between Manual Verification and Automatic Verification.
- Manual Verification: Allows you to verify contacts manually in RapidVerify.

Automatic Verification: Automatically verify candidates when they reach a specific stage in the hiring process in Lever.
Configure Automatic Verification
- Select a trigger of Candidate Stage Change or Candidate Hired.
- If selecting the Candidate Stage Change webhook, select the trigger stages for verification using the Candidate Stage dropdown.
- Keep the Verification Report Password somewhere safe as you will need this to open the zip file RapidVerify will email to you with the verification results. This password will only be shown once upon initial configuration. If the password becomes compromised or you forgot it, you can click Regenerate Password for a new one.
- Click Submit to complete the integration process.

When selecting Automatic Verification, you must enable either the Candidate Stage Change or Candidate Hired webhook in the Lever Webhooks UI (navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks in Lever) |
Once authorized, RapidVerify will appear on our Authorized Apps page in your Lever settings (navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Authorized Apps). Lever Super Admins can also revoke access from this location if necessary.
Using the RapidVerify integration
With the integration enabled, users will have the flexibility to choose between Manual or Automatic Identity Verification Checks.
Automatic Verification Checks
Automatic verification requests occur in the background, with no interaction needed from you. Once a candidate reaches the selected trigger stage (as configured above), RapidVerify will send them an email to start the verification process.
Once the candidate completes this process, RapidVerify will email you a verification report attached as a zip file and update the verification status within Lever using the following supported tags.
- RapidVerify: Verification In Progress: The verification request has been sent and awaiting the candidate to complete the verification process.
- RapidVerify: Verification Passed: The candidate has been successfully verified.
- RapidVerify: Verification Failed: The candidate did not successfully pass verification.
- RapidVerify: Verification Canceled: The candidate cancelled the verification.
If the verification failed or was cancelled, RapidVerify will also include a note on the opportunity with more details.
Manual Verification Checks

Disabling the RapidVerify integration
In RapidVerify
- To remove the integration, navigate to the Integrations page on RapidVerify from either the Dashboard or Settings.
- Click on Lever
- Click Uninstall. By removing the integration using this process, you also automatically remove the webhooks that were configured as part of the initial integration installation process.
In Lever
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the RapidVerify app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
