Enabling and using the HireJoy integration

HireJoy's integration allows companies to use HireJoy to rank candidates to speed up the resume screening process. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to connect HireJoy to Lever and configure the integration smoothly. Additionally, you'll learn how to streamline the resume screening process with HireJoy when an opportunity starts in Lever. For more information refer to the HireJoy website.

Setting up the HireJoy integration


You must be a team or organization with admin rights in HireJoy to install this integration.
  • In HireJoy, navigate to the Integrations page in the side menu.

  • Select Lever from the list of integrations.

  • On the Lever integration page, click the Connect to Lever button.

  • Lever will prompt you to sign in and authorize Hirejoy to your Lever account.
  • Log in with your Lever Admin account. 

  • Review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to enable the integration. 
  • You will be redirected back to HireJoy. 

  • The integration is now enabled!

Configuring the HireJoy integration

You will work with the HireJoy team to configure the required webhooks.

Using the HireJoy integration

Sync jobs from Lever into HireJoy

Once the integration is enabled, HireJoy will pull job postings and synthesize them into criteria.

Screening candidates

  • When a candidate applies to your job posting, they’ll be added to the 'New Applicant' stage in Lever. 

  • HireJoy will fetch the opportunity and score the resume against the job they applied for. The process takes a few minutes after the candidate has applied.
  • After the candidate is evaluated, they will appear in the list of candidates in HireJoy. HireJoy will also send the evaluation as a note and a tag on the Lever opportunity.
  • Feedback summary on Lever with HireJoy:

  • In the note, there will be a score, and an explanation on why this score is given. 

  • There will also be a tag on the candidate opportunity in Lever.

  • Tags allow you to easily filter for candidates that have met your hiring criteria.

You’ve now set up the basic integration flow!

Disabling the HireJoy integration

  1. In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API.
  2. Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the HireJoy app.
  3. Click Revoke access to disable the integration.
