You will use one of four methods to log in to Lever, depending on how your Lever environment was configured during implementation. To start, access the login page by navigating to https://hire.lever.co/auth/login. If your Lever environment is hosted on the EU data centre, you will need to navigate to hire.eu.lever.co/auth/login.
Logging in through Google
On the login page, click the Sign in with Google button.
On the next page, select the Google account associated with your work email address.
Enter the password associated with your Google account.
Upon successful login, you will be brought directly to the Home section of your Lever environment. Note: users with Interviewer access will be brought to the Interviews section of their Lever environment, as this is the only section to which they have access.
Logging in through Office 365
On the login in page, input the email address associated with your Office 365 work account and click the Next button.
Click the Sign in with Microsoft button.
On the next page, input the email address associated with your Office 365 work account and click the Next button.
Enter the password associated with your Office 365 work account and click the Sign In button.
Upon successful login, you will be brought directly to the Home section of your Lever environment. Note: users with Interviewer access will be brought to the Interviews section of their Lever environment, as this is the only section to which they have access.
Logging in through Microsoft Exchange, Zimbra, or in the absence of an email/calendar provider
On the login page, input the email address at which you received an invitation to join Lever from your system administrator and click the Next button.
On the next page, input the password associated with your Lever account. If you did not receive an invitation to join Lever or you cannot remember the password associated with your Lever account, click the Forgot password? link under the password field. Re-enter your work email address, authenticate by checking the 'I'm not a robot' checkbox, and click the Send password reset via email button.
You will receive a password reset link via email that is valid for 15 minutes from the time you make the request. The email will be sent from "no-reply@hire.lever.co" so be sure to check your spam folder.
Upon successful login, you will be brought directly to the Home section of your Lever environment. Note: users with Interviewer access will be brought to the Interviews section of their Lever environment, as this is the only section to which they have access.
Logging in through a Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) provider
What is Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML)?
SAML is is an open standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between parties. Common SAML providers include Okta and OneLogin.
On the login page input your work email address. Lever will detect the SAML provider configured for your Lever environment based on your email address. On the next page, click the Sign in with SSO button.
Depending on how Lever environment was configured during implementation, you may not have the option to sign in using a Lever-specific password in addition to signing in via SSO.
From here, follow the prompts to sign in via your SAML provider's login page.
Upon successful login, you will be brought directly to the Home section of your Lever environment. Note: users with Interviewer access will be brought to the Interviews section of their Lever environment, as this is the only section to which they have access.
All users who are brought directly to the Lever Home page will see a summary of the tasks, reminders, and information most relevant to the individual user. Learn more in our help article on the Lever User Workspace.
Troubleshooting login issues
Here are some tips for resolving common login issues:
- If you are attempting to login via Google, make sure you are signing in with the Google account associated with your work email address. If you are signed in to your personal Google account in another browser window, try signing out before re-attempting to sign in to Lever.
- Note that Lever does not recognize email aliases. If you need to change the email address associated with your Lever account contact Lever Support.
- Users that log in to Lever with an email address associated with their organization's domain will be automatically granted Interviewer level access, even if they have not been directly invited to join your Lever environment. Their access level can then be changed by a user with Super Admin, Admin, or Team Member level access. To learn more about access levels, refer to our user access breakdown help article.
- If you are presented with an error message when attempting to log in, try logging in via an Incognito or Private browser window. If the login issue persists, contact Lever Support with a screenshot error of the error message and a description of the troubleshooting steps you have tried.
