The EarnBetter Application FastTrack Integration with Lever allows you to automate the screening of applications and phone screening of candidates in your pipeline, simplifying your recruitment process and allowing you to identify qualified and interested candidates in your pipeline. For more information refer to the EarnBetter website.
Setting up the EarnBetter integration
You must be a team or organization with admin rights in EarnBetter to install this integration. |
You’ll need to have an EarnBetter FastTrack account in order to get started. Please reach out to EarnBetter support at support@earnbetter.com to begin. |
- Log into your EarnBetter account
- Click on your initials in the upper right hand corner
- Click Link ATS
- Click Add ATS to bring up the ATS Selection Menu
- Enter a Name for the ATS in the Name field (e.g. "Lever"). The name will not impact the product.
- Select Lever from the Type drop-down.
- Click Submit.
- Click Edit next to the ATS you just created to begin the authorization flow.
- Click Continue
- Click Sign in with Lever
- On the next prompt, log in to Lever using your admin account.
- Review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to authorize the integration.
Webhook Configuration
- In Lever, navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks
- Toggle the following webhooks to the on position, if they are not already enabled:
- Application Created
- Candidate Stage Changed
- Candidate Archive State Changed
- Candidate Hired
- Candidate Deleted
- Contact Updated

Configuring the EarnBetter integration
Job Configuration
The first thing you are going to do is connect specific jobs to your EarnBetter account.
- On the Job tab in EarnBetter, click Add Job from ATS
- Click Link next to the Job you’d like to connect.
- Once you click Link the integration will automatically sync your job and generate a first set of criteria to evaluate your candidates.
- Click View Job to review and configure your criteria.
Agent Configuration
There are two agents that you can configure for any given job:
- Resume Agent
- Phone Screen Agent
Configure Resume Agent in EarnBetter
To configure the Resume Agent, you'll complete the following in EarnBetter:
- (1) Set an Entry Stage: When do you want the Resume Agent to begin reviewing resumes? These stages in the drop-down are all pulled from Lever account for that particular job.
- (2) Set a “Meets Threshold”, “Fails Threshold” exit stage: These are the stages where the Resume Agent will place candidates after it has reviewed their application. Candidates who meet the “Score Threshold” and ALL required qualifications will be deemed to have met the threshold.
- (3) Set a Score Threshold: This is a number from 1-100 that you’ll establish to dictate what the score cutoff is for meeting or not meeting the threshold.
- (4) Qualifications: Qualifications can be Required or Preferred, and the weights determines how much of an impact the qualification has on the score of the resume. You can add, delete, edit qualifications at the bottom of the screen.
Once you have filled out the Entry and Exit Stages and at least one criteria, the resume agent will be live!
Configure Phone Screen Agent in EarnBetter
To configure the Phone Screen Agent, complete the following in EarnBetter:
- (1) Establish an “Entry Stage” and an “Exit Stage” for when you want the phone screen agent to “open” for candidates, and where you want it to place candidates after they have completed the evaluation.
- (2) Determine whether you want to direct-dial candidates (aka Outbound calls) or Enable email drip invitations to invite candidates to interview (recommended).
- (3) Create a Knowledge Base of all the content the Agent can draw from to answer questions for the Candidate.
- (4) Establish the Phone Screen Questions:
- Question: What you want the agent to ask
- Goal: This provides the agent guidance to understand if it needs to dig deeper to meet the question goal or if it has received a satisfactory response from the candidate that it can evaluate

Evaluation Type:
- Knockouts: Binary determination of whether a candidate met a requirement
- Rated: Evaluated on a four-point scale
- Data Collection: Retrieves and summarizes the data for you (start date, conflicts, etc…)
- Evaluation Prompt: How you want the Agent to evaluate particular answers
- Short Label: You can keep this blank. This is the label that will be used when we push the summary into the Lever
- Finally you can drag questions to the appropriate location in your screen using the arrows on the Actions panel. This will allow you to order the screen, as desired.
Once your screen is set up, you can reach out to your EarnBetter account representative to turn it on!
Using the EarnBetter integration
The output of the Resume Screens and Phone Screens will be pushed into your Lever Account as Opportunity notes. The notes will be posted as soon as the evaluations are complete, and will have links to the record in EarnBetter where additional information is hosted (including Phone Recordings, detailed scoring and more).
Additional Views in EarnBetter
You can also access this information directly in EarnBetter by clicking View Applicants in your EarnBetter Jobs Dashboard. You can also access the Settings page in EarnBetter to make any updates you want for a specific job.
Other Settings and Support

Disabling the EarnBetter integration
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the EarnBetter app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
