The HeyMilo integration with Lever allows you to automate candidate interviews and streamline your recruitment workflow. This integration connects Lever with HeyMilo’s AI-powered interview platform, enabling automatic job synchronization and candidate processing. For more information refer to the HeyMilo website.
Setting up the HeyMilo integration

Enable Webhook in Lever
- Log into your Lever admin dashboard
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks
- Enable the 'Application Created' webhook

The Application Created webhook must be enabled in Lever before starting the authorization steps below in HeyMilo. |
Authorize Integration in HeyMilo
- Visit https://admin.heymilo.ai and log in to your HeyMilo account
- Click the Integrations page under Settings, or navigate to https://admin.heymilo.ai/w/{WORKSPACE_ID}/integrations (replace {WORKSPACE_ID} with your HeyMilo Workspace ID).
- Locate the Lever integration card and click Add Integration
- On the configuration form, complete the following:

Select Application Created from the dropdown
- The Application Created webhook triggers when a new candidate applies through your Lever job portal, instantly notifying HeyMilo when a new application is submitted
- Click Connect to Lever

Select Application Created from the dropdown
- On the modal, log in to Lever using your admin account.
- Review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to authorize the integration.
Upon successful connection, the Lever integration tile in HeyMilo will automatically refresh and display a green checkmark (✓), confirming that the integration setup is complete.
Webhook Verification
After setup, verify webhook registration in your Lever dashboard by navigating to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks. You should see the HeyMilo webhook listed under the Application Created webhook.
Using the HeyMilo integration
After setting up the integration, HeyMilo automatically synchronizes with your Lever account to create a seamless hiring experience.
Syncing Jobs From Lever to HeyMilo
- HeyMilo will automatically detect and import new job postings
- You’ll see the job appear in your HeyMilo workspace within a few minutes

HeyMilo can be configured to only sync candidates once they hit a certain stage rather than syncing all new applicants. |
- You can modify the agent to your liking (including questions, scoring, etc) before the agent goes live by clicking the Edit Questions option under Actions.
- Modify the appropriate questions/evaluation criteria to better match your needs.
Automated Candidate Engagement
When a candidate applies to your job posting, the following automated process takes place:
1. Application Submission
When a candidate applies through your Lever external job site, their information is automatically sent to HeyMilo.
2. Automated Interview Invitation
HeyMilo sends an automated email to the candidate containing interview details and a unique interview link.

3. AI-Powered Interview
The candidate completes the interview through HeyMilo’s intuitive interface.
4. Results in Lever
When the interview is complete, HeyMilo adds the interview report link as a note on the candidate opportunity in Lever.
To view interview results:
- Open the candidate opportunity in Lever
- Check the Notes section to find the HeyMilo Interview Report link
- Click the interview report link.

Disabling the HeyMilo integration
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the HeyMilo app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
