The Asurint background check integration is built to allow for easy submission of orders, progress updates, and final results through the Lever platform. For more information refer to the Asurint website.
Setting up the Asurint integration

You must be a team or organization with Admin rights in Asurint to install this integration. |
- Reach out to support@asurint.com to inform them of your intent to activate the Lever integration. Asurint will provide a Client ID which will be important in later steps.
Activate the Lever Integration
- In Lever, add the stage "Asurint Background Check".
- For guidance on adding pipeline stages to your account, refer to our help article on adding pipeline stages.
- In Asurint, enter the Client ID provided to you by the Asurint support team on this page.
- Click Authorize.
- On the modal, log in to Lever using your Admin credentials.
- On the following prompt, review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to authorize the integration.
- If activation is successful, you will see this screen in Asurint.
Configuring the Asurint integration
Enable Webhook
- Once you've confirmed that the activation is successful, open Lever and navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks.
- Enable the 'Candidate Stage Change' webhook if it is not already enabled.
Assign Background Check Package Tags
Prior to submitting candidates for background check processing, add the required background check package tags to the job posting in Lever (e.g. "Asurint Package: Basic Search + Employment + Education"). Please check with the Asurint team for more information on your assigned background check tags.

Using the Asurint integration
Submit a Background Check
- To initiate a background check, in Lever, move the desired candidate opportunity to the Asurint background screening stage.
- This will automatically trigger an email to the applicant based on the package tag configured on the job posting in Lever.
- Once the candidate completes their forms and provides the necessary detail to Asurint, the integration will update the Lever opportunity with a status tag and note which includes the order ID, status, and a link to the Asurint-hosted background check report.
- Once the background check is complete, the status tag in Lever will update to "Completed" and a score and report link will be added to the note in Lever.
- The possible statuses and scores will be dependent on your custom scores. Please see below for an example:
- Status:
- "Pending Candidate": An email to access Candidate Hub has been sent to the candidate.
- "In Progress": The candidate has completed their forms through the Candidate Hub and the background check is in process.
- "Completed": The background check is complete.

- "Eligible for Hire"
- "Review"
- "Ineligible for Hire"

Disabling the Asurint integration
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the Asurint
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
