The Hirezilla integration with Lever simplifies the candidate screening process, saving you valuable time and effort. Once enabled, candidates will be automatically invited to a Hirezilla interview, and successful candidates will move forward in hiring process in Lever. For more information refer to the Hirezilla website.
Setting up the Hirezilla integration

You must be a team or organization with Admin rights in Hirezilla to install this integration. |
- First, create a Hirezilla account on app.hirezilla.com

Then, connect to Lever by following the steps below:
- In Hirezilla, navigate to the Settings page under your organization
- Go to Integrations
- Click Connect Lever
- When prompted, log into your Lever Admin account
- On the following modal, review the list of requested permissions and click Accept

Configuring the Hirezilla integration
Once you've activated the Hirezilla integration, you're nearly ready to automate the screening process. You'll need to complete two more things:
- Create a job listing on Lever (if it's not already done)
- Create a Hirezilla interview
Create a Hirezilla Interview
- In Hirezilla, click New interview
- Click Edit interview and start adding interview questions or let the Hirezilla AI do the job
- Click Create
- Once the interview is created in Hirezilla publish the interview in Hirezilla
- Connect the Lever posting and configure the integration as follows:
- Select the Lever job posting under the 'Invite candidates from' field
- Select the destination stage under the 'Move successful candidates to' field
- Select the archive status under the 'Archive rejected candidates' field
- Click Save
Creating interview questions
After linking the Hirezilla interview with the Lever posting, you can create interview questions. The integration will automatically populate the Lever job description to appear on the Hirezilla edit page.
If you choose to generate interview questions using AI, Hirezilla will utilize the Lever description as context for the AI-generated questions.
Using the Hirezilla integration
Hirezilla streamlines candidate screening directly from Lever, providing quick, actionable insights into applicants' qualifications. Here’s how the integration work at a high level:
- Automated Invitation: Automated invitation to applicants by email
- AI Screening Interview: Screening interview by Hirezilla AI
- AI Candidate Evaluation: Candidate evaluation based on provided criteria
- Synchronized Status: Candidate status is synchronized with Lever
After candidates apply, You’ll see a link to Lever in their Hirezilla page
When you accept or reject a candidate in Hirezilla, a comprehensive set of data is automatically transmitted to Lever. This transfer of information ensures that your Lever account is kept up-to-date with details from the Hirezilla screening process. The following data will be sent to Lever as a feedback form:
- The final decision on the candidate's application status
- Rating from the Hirezilla assessment
- A detailed summary of the candidate's application, highlighting key points
- Feedback email containing specific comments on the candidate's performance during the Hirezilla interview
- A direct link to the candidate's Hirezilla profile for easy reference
That’s it! With the Hirezilla-Lever integration, you’ll automate the candidate screening process and gain more time to focus on the best applicants.

Disabling the Hirezilla integration
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the Hirezilla app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
