The Code Interview integration allows users to generate interview links directly within Lever, streamlining the process of scheduling and managing the interviews. For more information refer to the Code Interview website.
Setting up the Code Interview integration

You must be a team or organization with admin rights in Code Interview to install this integration. |
- In Codeinterview.io, navigate to Settings > Integrations
- On the Lever integration tile, click Setup integration
- When prompted, sign in to your Lever account using your Admin account
- Review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to grant Code Interview access to manage interview link creation
Congratulations! You've successfully connected Lever with CodeInterview. Now, let’s configure the integration.
Configuring the Code Interview integration
After setting up the integration, complete the following configuration steps:
Configure Interview Stages
Configure the stages in the candidate’s hiring process where you want the interview link to be generated in Lever.
- On the Lever Integration tile in Code Interview, click Configure
- Select the stages from the available options, as shown in the image below:
- Click Save
Enable Webhook
- In Lever, go to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks
- Enable the 'Candidate Stage' webhook to ensure the integration can create interview links when candidates reach specific stages
Using the Code Interview integration
Onboarding Candidates for CodeInterviews
Here’s how you can use the integration to onboard candidates for interviews:
1. Tag Jobs and Candidates
In Lever, tag relevant job postings and candidates with the "codeinterview" tag. DFor more information on tags, refer to our help article on creating and using tags.
2. Move Candidate to Trigger Stage
Move the candidate opportunity tagged with the "codeinterview" tag to a designated trigger stage to generate the Code Interview interview link.
3. Receive Interview Link
A Code Interview interview link will be generated and added to the candidate opportunity in Lever.
Click on the generated link to be redirected to the Code Interview interview room, where you can send emails to invite the candidates.
Disabling the Code Interview integration
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the Code Interview app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
