The HiringKit integration allows teams to automatically invite candidates to complete AI-powered, one-way video screening interviews. Once complete, AI-generated evaluation scores and notes are added to the candidate opportunity in Lever. For more information refer to the HiringKit website

Setting up the HiringKit integration

You must be a team or organization with admin rights in HiringKit to install this integration.

Authorize the Integration

  • In HiringKit, navigate to the Integrations section.

  • Locate the Lever integration tile and click Connect. You'll be redirected to Lever’s login page.
  • When prompted, log in with your Lever Admin credentials.
  • Review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to authorize the integration.

Configuring the HiringKit integration

Enable Webhooks

  • After authorizing the integration, go back to Lever and navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks.
  • Toggle the following webhooks to the on position if they are not already enabled:
    • Application Created
    • Candidate Stage Change

Configure Trigger Stage

  • In HiringKit, click the Configure button in the HiringKit dashboard.
  • Select a Lever stage (e.g., "New Lead", "Reached out", or Custom Stages such as "HiringKit") that will automatically trigger the assessment invitation for candidates.

To automatically send screening invitations using the trigger stage, the candidate must have a valid email address. If a candidate does not have an email address and is moved to the selected trigger stage, no screening invitation will be sent.

Using the HiringKit integration

Reviewing AI Evaluation Scores in Lever

After a candidate completes the screening, HiringKit will automatically send AI-generated scores and detailed evaluation notes back to the candidate opportunity record in Lever. These notes will appear under the candidate’s 'Notes' section and include a link to view the full screening response in HiringKit.

No personal information such as resumes or LinkedIn profiles is used in the evaluation process. Only the video transcriptions from the candidate’s responses are analyzed to generate AI scores and evaluation notes.

Progress and Results Tags
HiringKit will automatically add the following tags to candidates at different stages of the screening process:

  • HiringKit-Screening-Invited: Added when a screening invitation is sent to a candidate.
  • HiringKit-Screening-Evaluated: Added after a candidate completes the screening and the evaluation process is complete.
  • HiringKit-AI-Screening-Score:(1-4): Added after the AI evaluation is processed. The score ranges from 1 to 4:
    • 1: Strong No (double thumbs down)
    • 2: No (single thumb down)
    • 3: Yes (single thumb up)
    • 4: Strong Yes (double thumbs up)

These tags help recruiters easily track candidates' progress and evaluation results within Lever.
