The Justifacts integration with Lever allows customers to seamlessly invite candidates to complete background verifications. Background check report links are updated on the candidate opportunity in Lever. To learn more, visit the Justifacts website.
Setting up the Justifacts integration

You must be a team or organization with admin rights in Justifacts to install this integration. |
Prerequisite: Customer has a Justifacts account setup in JWeb.
- In JWeb, activate the Lever integration in Client Settings
- Click the Activate Feature drop-down and locate Lever.
- Select Lever.
- You will receive confirmation that the Justifacts activation email has been sent to your team.
- On the Justifacts activation email, please reference the provided Webhook Link. You will need to copy this URL when configuring the webhook below. See this step in the "Configure Webhook" section below.
- Click Activate Lever
- Sign in to Lever using your Lever Admin account
- Review the list of requested permissions and click Accept
- You will be redirected to the JWeb login screen
- Complete the following steps to configure the integration
Configuring the Justifacts integration
Configure Webhook
- In Lever, navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks
- Locate the 'Candidate State Change' webhook and create a new webhook
- Paste the Webhook Link URL from the Justifacts client activation email into the webhook url field
- Copy the Signature token
- Log in to JWeb and click the Lever Activation task
- Paste the Lever 'Signature Token' and click Submit
Configure package tags
- Log in to Lever
- Open a Job posting
- Add a Package Tag to a Job posting
- e.g. JUSTIFACTS BGC PKG: EmpCod[ID : 13558]
- Click Save Changes
Using the Justifacts integration
- In Lever, open an opportunity
- For the initial enablement, ensure that the package tag is populated successfully on the candidate opportunity
- Move the candidate opportunity to the 'Background Check' stage to trigger the integration

Once the candidate is moved to the Background Check stage, the integration will email the applicant the background check invitation.
- Note: The request will go to the email listed on the candidate opportunity in Lever
Background Check Status Tags
The following statuses will trigger an opportunity tag (used for status updates) in Lever:
- "(Justifacts)In-Progress : Candidate": BGC Request sent to Applicant
- "(Justifacts)In-Progress: Justifacts": Applicant completes BGC Request
- "(Justifacts)Complete": Justifacts completes order
- Once the background check report is complete, a secret note with the result URL will be added to the candidate opportunity in Lever.
Disabling the Justifacts integration
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the Justifacts app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
