Enabling and using the Hubert integration

The Hubert.ai integration allows recruiters to automatically send Hubert AI Interviews to candidates on Lever. Readers of this article will learn the following:

Setting up the Hubert integration

Authorizing the Hubert Integration

• Navigate to the Settings page on the Hubert App
• Click Integrations

• Click Add integrations

• Click the Add button next to Lever; click Grant Access

• Log in to Lever

• Review list of requested permissions; click Accept.

  • For more information on what these permissions are used for, please refer to the Appendix.

• Once the integration has connected successfully, the popup will close and the Lever integration will appear as 'Active' on the Settings page of the Hubert App

Enabling webhooks

Although the integration is connected, complete the following steps to verify that the required webhooks for the integration are enabled in Lever. Webhooks are used by the integration to receive notification when it is time to send Hubert AI Interviews to candidates. Without enabling the necessary webhooks, Hubert AI Interviews will not be sent to candidates.

• In Lever, navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks

• Scroll to the 'Application Created' webhook

  • If the webhook is not already enabled, toggle the webhook to the on (blue) position to enable

  • Note: The Hubert integration has already configured the required webhook details. Once a new application is received on Lever, a Hubert AI Interview will be sent to the candidate.

• Scroll to the 'Candidate Stage Change' webhook
  • If the webhook is not already enabled, toggle the webhook to the on (blue) position to enable

  • Note: The Hubert integration has already configured the required webhook details. Enabling this webhook allows the integration to send Hubert AI Interviews to manually added candidates or referrals.

You have now successfully activated the Hubert.ai integration!

Configuring the Hubert integration

Please reach out to your Hubert contact or support@hubert.ai to set up your AI interview. You may also contact Hubert Support to create an interview template for the new job role for which you are hiring. If you have already used Hubert AI Interviews for the same role previously, you may skip this step and choose to use the same Hubert interview template, and the Interview Template ID that was provided to you.

Once an interview template is created, you are provided with a Hubert Interview Template ID by Hubert Support. This Interview Template ID is used in the tag you will add to your Lever posting.

This tag should be in the format of Hubert: {INTERVIEW_TEMPLATE_ID} (where you need to substitute {INTERVIEW_TEMPLATE_ID} with the Interview Template ID provided to you by Hubert Support. (e.g. "Hubert: 61f080d9414018eda48a7380")

Assigning a Hubert AI interview template to the Lever job posting 

• In Lever, navigate to the Jobs page via the platform header
• Open the job posting to which you wish to add Hubert.ai Interviews

• Under 'Tags', click Add tag

• Enter the Hubert Interview Template tag (e.g. "Hubert: 61f080d9414018eda48a7380")

  • Copy and paste the 'Interview Template ID' from Hubert to avoid spelling errors

• Click below to add the tag you just entered

• Click Save Changes

Configuring Opportunity Auto-Move

This optional integration feature will move your opportunities to specified stages in the Lever pipeline based on their grade from the Hubert AI Interview. Enabling this feature increases efficiency and saves recruiters time. You may configure this setting for all of your Lever postings that use Hubert AI Interviews by following the steps outlined below.

• Navigate to the Integrations page on the Hubert App
• Click Settings next to the Lever integration

Please contact Hubert Support if you need to customize the configuration for a specific Job.

• Click on each of the dropdowns to configure the relevant stage.
  • Note: all 3 settings are optional

• Click Save

How do I send Hubert AI Interviews to candidates on Lever?

To send Hubert AI Interviews to candidates who apply for a given posting on Lever, configure the Lever posting with the required Hubert AI Interview template. This is achieved by adding a tag of pre-defined format (specified above) to the Lever posting.

Once the Hubert Interview Template tag is assigned to the Lever posting (see previous step), a Hubert AI Interview will be sent to every new candidate who applies to the posting via the Lever job site or any other candidates (manually added or referrals) that are added to the 'New Applicant' stage in the Lever pipeline.

How do I view the result of a Hubert AI Interview?

After the candidate has completed the Hubert AI Interview, recruiters can view a detailed summary of the interview on the 'Application Summary' page in the Hubert App. Recruiters can also view the interview scorecard in Lever as a note on the candidate opportunity

• In Lever, navigate to the Candidates page via the platform header
• Open the candidate opportunity
  • For more detailed results of the interview, recruiters can find a link to the candidate’s interview summary in the 'Notes' section of the opportunity

• Once the candidate has finished their interview, a new tag will be added to the opportunity, indicating the Hubert AI Interview grade.

• The integration will also add a note that includes the candidate’s score as well as links to the application and detailed summary at Hubert.ai

• The link to the application summary on the Hubert app is also added to the links section of the candidate opportunity

• The application summary on Hubert, gives a detailed view of the interview including responses of the candidate

Hubert AI Interview grade

Each Hubert AI Interview is classified into one of the following grades:

• Not Qualified if the candidate does not meet the hard requirements for the job
• Passed if the candidate meets qualifying criteria but does not exceed a defined points threshold of your choice
• Lead if the candidate meets qualifying criteria AND exceeds a defined points threshold of your choice

The threshold specifies the “cut-off“ score between Hubert Leads (candidate scoring above the specified threshold) and Hubert Passed (candidates scoring below the specified threshold). The threshold can be specified by the recruiter during interview template creation. For more information, reach out to your Hubert contact.

A tag denoting the relevant grade (Hubert: Not Qualified, Hubert: Lead, or Hubert: Passed) will be added to a candidate opportunity on Lever. On the Lever candidate dashboard, you can filter candidates by their Hubert interview grade.

2. Under the 'Authorized Apps' tab, locate the Hubert app
3. Click Revoke Access to disable the integration
