The tofu integration lets companies source candidates from the tofu marketplace and recommend talent they couldn't hire with one-click. Learn more on the Tofu website.
Setting up the tofu integration

You must be a team or organization with admin rights in tofu to install this integration. |
Complete the following steps during the onboarding and creation of your company tofu account.
- In tofu, select Lever among the list of available ATS options
- Click Go to Lever. You will be redirected to Lever Connection page in tofu.
- Sign-in to your Lever account using your Admin credentials.
- Review the list of requested permissions and click Accept to authorize the integration

The requested permissions enable tofu to do the following:
- Connect you to all other Portfolio Companies in your VCs network
- Push new candidates to your top of funnel across your open roles
- Pull candidates that trigger the Archive Codes and Interview Stages that you select during onboarding

Configuring the tofu integration
Configure Webhook
- After you’ve accepted permissions, click here to be taken to Lever, or open your Lever account.
- In Lever, navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks
- Scroll down to locate the Candidate Archive State Change webhook
- Toggle the “Candidate Archive State Change” to the on (blue) position to enable the webhook if it is not already enabled
- Open tofu and click Verify
- If the ‘Verify’ action is successful, the webhook has been successfully created and you will be directed to the next page.

By toggling the webhook, you allow tofu to drive candidate opt-in when a defined Interview Stages and Archive Codes set during onboarding, are triggered. As you archive candidates against these Interview Stages and Archive Codes, the tofu API will be called. All other Companies in your tofu network configure the same webhooks so you can source candidates. |
You can source candidates by navigating to your Talent Pool and selecting the candidates you'd like to invite to interview.
Using the tofu integration
Once you’ve authenticated Lever during onboarding and created the required Webhooks, tofu will begin to work automatically in the background as you move through your existing workflows.
If you make any adjustments to:
- Archive Codes
- Interview Stages
You will receive a notification from tofu to update your Archive Code and Interview Stage map that you set during onboarding. The email will be sent to the Admin’s account email.
As candidates trigger the Archive Codes and Interview Stages set by your Talent Team, you will receive a daily email notification asking you to “approve” / “reject” candidates.
Disabling the tofu integration
- In Lever navigate to Settings > Integrations and API
- Under the Authorized Apps tab, locate the tofu app
- Click Revoke access to disable the integration
Delete the webhook in Lever
- In Lever, navigate to Settings > Integrations and API > Webhooks
- Scroll down to the 'Candidate Archive State Change' webhook
- Locate the webhook configured by the tofu integration
- Click the caret to expand the webhook
- Click Delete to delete the webhook
