All Lever accounts have access to an XML feed of your account's published job data. Certain job boards have the ability to ingest this feed so your job posting data can programmatically post to their platform, removing the need to manually post jobs to that job board. Before proceeding, note that you can use Lever's JobTarget integration to expand the reach of your postings by automatically pushing them to multiple job boards as part of the posting publication process. To learn more, check out our JobTarget integration help article.

Enabling the XML job posting feed

Users with Super Admin access can enable this feature by completing the following steps:

  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations and API and scroll to the 'Job boards' section
  • Expand the 'Job posting feed' tile and click the Generate Job Feed button
  • Copy the code that appears in the 'Manual Setup' field

Job posting feed tile in with XML code field circled.

  • Paste the code to the job posting page on the job board to which you wish your postings to be directed. Job postings will appear on most job boards within 24 hours.

Job boards that support Lever's XML feed

Below are job boards that can use Lever's XML to ingest jobs. To learn more about a job board in the list or make a request about posting ingestion, click its name to be redirected to its homepage. If a job board isn't listed, reach out to the specific job board to determine if they're able to use Lever's XML feed.

In order to stop a job platform from continuing to ingest your job postings, reach out to support team of the job board to request that ingestion be discontinued. If you represent a job board platform and wish to inquire about partnering with Lever to ingest our XML feed or you are a Lever customer looking to request a specific job platform not listed above, please contact Lever Support.

Source tags for custom job boards

Opportunities generated for candidates that apply via the job board to which you posted the code (see above) will have an origin of 'Applied.' The sources for the opportunity will be 'Job site' and 'Job posting feed.' If you wish to have custom source tags added to opportunities that come from specific job boards (so you can track which the volume of candidates comes through each job board), you will need to generate a unique application link for the job board when creating the posting as shown in the image below.

Add job board modal with arrow pointing job board title, custom job board source tag, and text in custom URL following 5D=.

The secondary source tag for opportunities that are associated with that posting and are generated via application through the job board will match the name given to the job board (i.e. the text that follows "5D=" in the unique job board URL, with spaces represented by "%20"). In the image above, the source tag 'Custom Job Board' will be added to opportunities generated from applications via the custom job board to which the posting was published. To learn more, check out our help article on creating and using tags as well as our help article on publishing postings to job boards

Custom source tags can also be applied if the job board to which you have connected Lever's XML has the ability to append '?lever-origin=applied&lever-source%5B%5D=[Job Board]' to the URL when a candidate is redirected from the job board to Lever.
