When it comes to communicating with candidates via email, it is important to balance a personalized tone with the ability to send out consistent emails at scale. Lever's email formatting allows you to customize your emails for effective candidate communication. Formatting emails
Whether you are inquiring about availability for an initial phone screen or confirming an on-site interview, use rich text formatting to enhance your emails to candidates.
- Generate an email either from the email composer in the pipeline or by clicking the mail icon in a candidate's profile
The rich text formatting bar can be found above the email body composition field. The formatting options that are available are:
- Heading
- Bold
- Italicize
- Strikethrough
- Underline
- Hyperlink
- Image and gif insert
- HTML editor
- Alignment
- Numbered list
- Bullet list
- Indent
- Strikethrough
- Clear formatting
You can also add attachments, auto-text placeholders, and Easy Book links.
You can change text color of your email body by selecting from the dropdown color options in the toolbar or choosing a specific color by clicking the palette icon in the Color Picker and inputting an RGB/Hex code.
Note that you have the ability to upload images and gifs by clicking the image icon in the toolbar or by dragging and dropping the file into the editor.
Formatting emails with HTML
Lever enables you to format regular emails as well as email templates, Nurture campaign email templates, and emails sent using automation workflows.
Click the <> button on the toolbar to open the source code editor.
You can then edit or input your desired HTML code.
Any errors in the HTML will turn red.
For support in writing or troubleshooting the HTML, we recommend speaking with a developer on your team that can assist with custom code.
