Lever's integration with LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect (RSC) allows you to export candidates directly from LinkedIn to Lever, so you can spend less time on data entry and more time sourcing. Candidates are added with all of their historical InMails and Notes so you can see every interaction the candidate has had with your recruiting team. For instruction on how to enable this integration, refer to the following article: Enabling the LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect (RSC) integration.
|
To use the LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect integration, the logged-in Lever user needs to have a valid, active LinkedIn Recruiter license and their Lever user mapped to their LinkedIn Recruiter license. If this mapping is out of date, it can be updated by expanding the LinkedIn RSC integration and clicking 'Refresh Seats'. View full steps in Step 3 of our help article on Enabling the LinkedIn Recruiter System Connect (RSC) integration. |
Adding Candidates
Method 1: 1-Click Export
When viewing a candidate in Recruiter, click the ellipses (⋯) next to the profile and select Export to ATS.
An export frame will open on the right-hand side of the screen. Select Lever and search for the appropriate job name.
Once you have selected the relevant job posting, click Export to send the candidate to Lever. The candidate profile will be created with an opportunity for the selected posting and will be added to the 'New Lead' section of the pipeline with the following fields populated:
- First and last name
- Employer name
- LinkedIn URL
- Headline
- Location
- Recruiter Notes and/or InMails
|
LinkedIn provides the ability to disable the 1-Click Export feature of RSC to customers on their New Recruiter and Jobs platform. This feature is on by default when an organization enables the LinkedIn RSC integration. If your organization has chosen to disable this feature, the 1-Click Export option will not appear to you on LinkedIn profiles. To check whether the 1-Click Export feature is enabled for your organization, navigate to 'Product Settings' in LinkedIn Recruiter, select Advanced > ATS Integration and click Edit under Lever. For more information, refer to LinkedIn's Help Center documentation. |
Method 2: InMail Response
When a candidate receives a new InMail from you, they are presented with options to reply:
If the candidate selects No thanks in response to your InMail, no action will be taken in Lever. If they select Yes, they will be presented with the option to respond by sharing their e-mail and phone number:
When a candidate selects Yes, please share, a candidate profile and an associated general opportunity are automatically created in Lever with the following fields populated:
- First and last name
- Location
- E-mail Address and phone number (if provided by the candidate)
- Position
- Recruiter Notes and/or InMails
If the candidate already exists in Lever and has been LinkedIn Recruiter connected, a new general opportunity will be added to their candidate profile and any new InMails will be synced to that opportunity. If the candidate selects No, don't share, no information about the candidate will be passed to Lever. Opportunities generated for candidates sourced via InMail response will appear in the 'New Lead' section of the pipeline.
|
LinkedIn provides the ability to disable the InMail profile creation feature of RSC to customers on their New Recruiter and Jobs platform. This feature is on by default when an organization enables the LinkedIn RSC integration. If your organization has chosen to disable this feature, candidate profiles and opportunities will not be created for candidates that consent to the sharing of their contact information via InMail. To check whether the InMail profile creation feature is enabled for your organization, navigate to 'Product Settings' in LinkedIn Recruiter, select Advanced > ATS Integration, click Edit under Lever and check the Inmail stub profile API setting. |
Automatic stage progression
In the Lead section (the first section of the pipeline), candidates' opportunities will automatically advance based on your correspondence with the candidate. This is true both for candidates added manually and via LinkedIn RSC.
After exporting a LinkedIn profile from LinkedIn Recruiter into Lever using 'One Click Export' in LinkedIn Recruiter, the prospect will appear in Lever as a 'Lead' in the 'New Lead' stage.
Then, if a LinkedIn inMail is sent to this candidate, Lever will advance this candidate to the 'Reached Out' stage of the 'Lead' pipeline in Lever.
If the inMail recipient responds, the prospect would similarly be advanced to the 'Responded Stage'.
These automatic stage progressions can take up to 15 minutes to reflect in Lever, as Lever syncs content with LinkedIn Recruiter every 15 minutes.
To learn more about automatic stage progression, refer to our help article on automatic stage progression.
