Solution debiases the candidate selection process, allowing organisations to hire more diverse
and inclusive teams. The integration with Lever will allow you to redact information from candidate records to remove bias from the interviewing and recruiting process.
In this article, we will go over how to enable the MeVitae integration with Lever and how it's used.
Setup the integration
Note: Access role must be Super Admin in order to set up the integration.
1. Click into your integration admin settings in MeVitae
2. Select '+Integration' and select 'New'
3. You should have the option to select Lever as the ATS -- select 'Lever' in the dropdown and click 'Submit'
How to use the integration
You'll first need to configure some details within MeVitae and Lever in order for the integration to work.
Creating the Job Profile in MeVitae:
The prefix field will correlate to the job posting in Lever containing that posting tag, for example:
This means that any candidate tied to a job posting that has a tag label that correlates with a job profile in MeVitae will abide by the configured redaction rules.
Once the job profile is created, you'll be able to expand it on your main dashboard to further configure the redaction level. Simply select "+Add document profile" and it'll walk through setting that up:
Once this is set up, MeVitae will automatically process candidates on a scheduled cycle, they'll: collect candidate details, analyze/redact information, then deliver it back to your Lever account
It's recommended to set up an additional stage after "New applicant" in Lever to store all redacted profiles, here's an example:
The name of the redacted profile will correlate to the opportunity ID of the actual candidate record. In addition, the candidate record will include a link to the redacted profile in the link section of the profile, e.g:
Use the redacted profile to schedule team based interviews as this is the record that contains the redacted resume, this will ensure bias is eliminated as a part of the interviewing process.
Once feedback is returned and the interview process is complete, use the original profile to continue the process in Lever.
How to disable the integration:
1. Navigate to your Integrations & API Settings Page in Lever
2. Under the Authorized Apps tab locate the MeVitae app
3. Click Revoke Access to disable the integration
