How do I set up an Automation flow for Hired Opportunities?

We've compiled a few examples of automation workflows to help get you started. To learn more, please refer to this article.

Navigate to top bar navigation More > Automation. Configure the Trigger: Opportunity Hired for the following use cases.

  • Notify IT or HR of new hire for employee provisioning
  • Announce new hires in Slack or Microsoft Teams channels
  • Notify HR when a new employee’s background check needs review
  • Remind recruiter to check in with new hire one month post-hire

Notify IT or HR of new hire for employee provisioning

How to configure: 

  1. Trigger: Opportunity Hired
  2. Condition: N/A
  3. Action:  Send email
    1. To: IT@company.com or HR@company.com
    2. Subject: {{candidate first name}} was hired!
    3. Body: {{candidate full name}} was hired to {{job posting hiring manager full name}}'s team.  Please begin the IT provisioning process.
    4. Delay: Tomorrow

Announce new hires in Slack or Microsoft Teams channels

How to configure: 

  1. Trigger: Opportunity Hired
  2. Condition: N/A
  3. Action:  Send email
    1. To: {{Slack Channel or MS Teams Channel email address}} 
      This email address must be added as a user; Multi-domain required
    2. Subject: Hooray! {{candidate full name}} was hired!
    3. Body: {{job posting hiring manager full name}}'s team just got bigger!
    4. Delay: Tomorrow

Notify HR when a new employee’s background check needs review

How to Configure:

  1. Trigger: Opportunity Hired
  2. Condition
    1. Opportunity > has tag > if the value is one of these > “Report Consider”
  3. Action: Send Email
    1. To: HR user/alias
    2. Subject: {{candidate full name}}’s background check needs review.
    3. Body: Please review the results of {{candidate full name}}’s background check. Their employment is contingent upon passing and the check identified at least one finding for HR to evaluate. 
    4. Delay: Tomorrow

Remind recruiter to check in with new hire one month post-hire

How to Configure:

  1. Trigger: Opportunity Hired
  2. Condition
    1. Job posting > owner is > one of these > {Name of Recruiter}
  3. Action: Send Email
    1. To: Recruiter
    2. Subject: Reminder to check in with {{candidate full name}}
    3. Body:  Can you believe it’s already been a month since {{candidate full name}} was hired? Now would be a good time to check in on how they’re doing in their new role. 
    4. Delay: 1 Month
