In Lever, all of a candidates profiles should be linked. When candidates apply to a job posting, we automatically deduplicate by email address to ensure that all of a candidate's separate opportunities are linked.
A candidate will have a separate profile for each of their opportunities with your company. Each of these opportunities can be moved independently through your pipeline as the candidate progresses through your hiring process. Every one of a candidate's opportunities will be listed on your candidate dashboard as its own row.
In the screenshot below, a candidate has been referred for three separate roles and has a profile for each of these opportunities. When a candidate has other active opportunities in your pipeline, it will be indicated by a suitcase icon.
This does not mean that a candidate has duplicate profiles, but rather that they have multiple opportunities with your company. Opening one of these profiles shows that each of the candidate's opportunities are linked.
However, it is still possible for users to inadvertently create duplicate profiles for a single candidate. This can occur when a user manually creates a new profile by using the "Add Candidate" button, or if a candidate is added with a different email address than the one on their existing Lever profile. In those instances, the candidate is listed multiple times in the candidate dashboard, but their profiles are not linked.
