Welcome to Lever!
Recruiting is a team sport. By collaborating with your recruiting team, you can help your organization make high quality hires - faster. Even if you aren't going to be hands-on in the hiring process, there are a few things you'll want to know how to do:
- How to submit feedback
- How to dismiss feedback reminders
- How to make a referral
- How to share roles with your social networks
- How to apply for an internal job posting
- How to manage notifications and update your avatar
How to submit feedback
Lever makes it easy to prepare for interviews and submit interview feedback quickly - even when you're on the go. When you're scheduled for a candidate interview, you'll receive a calendar invitation containing a link to the candidate's feedback form and resume, which you can access in 3 different ways:
1) In the calendar event for your interview:
2) In the Interviews page of your Lever account:
This page also lists any outstanding feedback which still needs to be completed, as well as any feedback you've submitted within the past 60 days.
3) Clicking the "Complete Feedback" button in an interview reminder email:
Choosing any of the options above will bring you to the candidate's feedback form, resume and additional contact information:
How to dismiss feedback reminders
In the event that you didn't attend an interview or didn't need to submit feedback for a specific interview you were scheduled for, there are 2 simple options to dismiss feedback in Lever.
1) Click on the 'x' to the right of 'Complete Feedback' on your Interviews page:
2) Click the links below 'Complete Feedback' in an interview reminder email:
How to make a referral
Be a hiring hero! Let your team know someone who might be a great fit for your company - and get credit for the candidates you've referred. Click the 'Refer Candidate' button at the top of the the Interviews page:
Start by dropping the candidate's resume into the "Attach Resume" field - Lever will automatically populate as many fields as it can, like the candidate's full name and email. Note that an email address is required - if you don't know your referral's email address, reach out to your recruiting team for their best practice.
Once you've submitted a referral, click on the "My Referrals" tab on your Interviews tab to track their progress:
How to share roles with your social networks
Promote a role on social media by clicking the 'Social Referrals' tab on your Interviews page and clicking 'Get Referral Link' on the right side:
You can share a link to your organization's external job board, or link to a specific job posting. You can then share links directly from Lever to Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn - or simply copy and paste the link wherever you like.
Once a candidate clicks your link and applies for a position, they will appear in your social referrals.
How to apply for an internal job posting
Your organization may choose to list certain job postings on an internal job board. If so, you'll be able to access the list of postings available to employees and fill out an application by clicking 'View Job Site' on your Interviews page and selecting 'Internal Job Site':
We treat applications from internal candidates differently, to ensure your job hunt is confidential. Only appropriate employees will see that you've applied to an internal role, and any scheduled interviews will be marked as private by default.
How to manage notifications and update your avatar
Stay in the loop - while protecting your inbox! To access your notification settings and update your avatar, hover over the image in the top left corner of your screen and click on your email address:
You'll be able to learn more about each type of notification by hovering over the "?" next to each checkbox:
At the bottom of this page, you'll be able to update your profile picture ("avatar"). For more information about updating your profile picture, read our Help Center article here.
