When searching for and viewing candidates in LinkedIn Recruiter or LinkedIn Recruiter Professional Services (RPS), Lever’s Chrome extension will automatically identify if the profile matches an existing candidate in Lever. If you are using a legacy version of LinkedIn Recruiter or LinkedIn RPS, Lever’s Chrome extension may not be able to accurately recognize existing profiles in Lever. To fix this, you need to make sure you are using the most recent version of LinkedIn’s tools.

Determining which version of LinkedIn Recruiter you have

Open your LinkedIn Recruiter tool and look at the URL. If it starts with “linkedin.com/talent/” then you have the newest version and should not be experiencing any issues with the Lever Chrome extension. If the URL starts with “linkedin.com/recruiter/” then you have an older version.

LinkedIn plans to migrate all LinkedIn Recruiter customers over to new experience and has instructed customers to reach out to their LinkedIn Representatives for specific information about the timeline for receiving this update. Please contact your LinkedIn representative and request that your account receive this update as soon as possible. We expect that this issue with the Chrome extension will be resolved for you and your team once you are using the new version of LinkedIn Recruiter.

Determining which version of LinkedIn RPS you have

Open your LinkedIn RPS tool and look at the URL. If it starts with “linkedin.com/talent/” then you have the newest version and should not be experiencing any issues with the Lever Chrome extension. If the URL starts with “linkedin.com/recruiter/” then you have an older version.

I am on the new version and still having problems

If your LinkedIn tool URL starts with “linkedin.com/talent/”, you are using the newest version and Lever’s chrome extension should be working properly. However, if you are still running into any issues, please reach out to our Support team for assistance.
