Please note: In order to configure this integration, you must be a Super Admin on your Lever Account, and an Admin of your LinkedIn Recruiter account.
Additionally, Lever’s integration with LinkedIn Recruiter is only available for users with LinkedIn Recruiter Corporate Edition or LinkedIn Professional Services, and Lever Legacy, Professional, or Enterprise Edition. To find out your LinkedIn Recruiter edition, first login to LinkedIn Recruiter. If the LinkedIn logo includes "Recruiter," you are using Recruiter Corporate Edition. If the logo includes "Recruiter Lite," you are using Recruiter Lite Edition.
Setup:
Step 1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations. Under "Partner Integrations", click the toggle to enable Recruiter System Connect.
The toggle icon will turn orange and the row will expand:
Click Begin Setup to get started.
Step 2. Next, you'll need to request access from LinkedIn. If you're not already logged into your LinkedIn account in your browser, click the Sign In button. Please make sure to disable any pop-up blockers before doing so.
Tip: If the sign-in screen does not appear in the LinkedIn iframe, we recommend re-trying the setup process in a new incognito window. You'll want to sign back into https://hire.lever.co/settings/integrations and then continue the process from there.
You will then be prompted to enter your LinkedIn credentials in a pop-up window. Once complete, click the Sign in button.
You will next be asked to select the Recruiter contract that you would like to associate with your RSC integration by selecting the Continue button.
Please note: Only one recruiter contract may be associated with your LinkedIn integration.
Next, you will need to request that LinkedIn provide company and contract level access to the integration. You can do so by clicking the Request button in the "Recruiter System Connect (RSC)" section.
Afterward, you will want to confirm that LinkedIn has received the request by clicking the Go Back button.
Here the Request button should be replaced by a "Partner Ready" indicator. Once you have verified this, click Next to continue.
Step 3. You'll be advanced to the "Enable Integration" step which provides a view of the Company and Contract-level access settings in LinkedIn
Click on "Enable in Linkedin" and then click the Edit button of your Recruiter contract to open the settings.
From there, click the "On" toggles for both company and contract level access, then click the Save button. Your integration will now be listed as "Activated" and you can close this tab, then navigate back to your Lever settings window.
Now, click the Check Integration Status button. The statuses will change to enabled and you can click Next to continue.
Step 4. You will now be taken to the "Link Seats" section. Here you can match the LinkedIn Recruiter seats on the left to your Lever users on the right by clicking the Choose button and selecting your user from the drop-down window.
Once you've finished linking all of your users, click the Done Linking Seats button. We'll warn you of any unlinked seats, but you can always come back later and add new mappings, or change existing mappings.
Step 5. You are now ready to begin the historical data sync. This typically takes less than 30 minutes, but can take up to 48 hours for accounts with a large number of candidate records. You will not be able to use the integration until the sync is complete.
Once you're ready, click the Begin Sync button.
Tip: You can navigate away from the page while the sync is active - we'll notify you in-app when completed.
In rare cases, the sync process may encounter errors that will cause the sync to fail (for example in periods of site maintenance). You will be able to click a Retry button to re-initiate the process. If the problem persists after a few attempts, please submit a support request and we'll investigate further.
Once complete, the toggle will change from orange to green and you will be able to use all of the functionality of our LinkedIn Recruiter Integration!
Updates to LinkedIn Recruiter Notes to Respect Privacy Settings
Prospect Notes settings in LinkedIn Recruiter allows users to configure whether they want their note to be private or public to users on their contract. By default, a Prospect Note created in LinkedIn Recruiter will be “Private” and only visible to the owner of the notes. Only “Public” notes will be synced with Lever in order to respect the privacy settings a user configures within LinkedIn Recruiter. If your organization would like LinkedIn Recruiter Notes to be shared publicly with users within the ATS via RSC, please work with LinkedIn to update your company note default setting with Recruiter to “Public.”
